The brief from Novo Nordisk was clear: bring seventy of their top executives together for a day that felt genuinely different. Not a hotel ballroom. Not a function room they'd seen a hundred times. A private Mosman residence overlooking Sydney Harbour, dressed for a Mediterranean afternoon, and designed to feel like somewhere else entirely.

The day unfolded beneath a blossoming jacaranda tree. Acoustic artist Glen Wee performed as guests arrived to welcome drinks and an opulent mezze spread: antipasti, hand-crafted salads, and circulating canapes. The bar ran Aperol Spritzes, Limoncello Spritzes, and St Germain cocktails alongside premium wine. Nothing rushed. Nothing heavy. As the afternoon deepened, so did the mood: at 7pm the food offering shifted, the light changed, and the evening found its own rhythm.
