An unassuming door. An unforgettable room.

Gala dinner event management for Clemence Harvey’s exclusive black tie dinner in Melbourne

Exceptional gala dinner event management begins with understanding the people in the room. For Clemence Harvey's exclusive black tie dinner, Zesty transformed a private Fitzroy residence into an immersive dining experience designed for Melbourne's leading creatives, editors and tastemakers.

The venue itself was extraordinary, a historic private residence layered with stories, from its remarkable Italian art collection to its past life as the home of restaurateur Mietta and later an underground gay club. But unlike a traditional venue, it offered none of the infrastructure needed to host an event. Every arrival, transition and reveal had to be carefully designed from the ground up.

Guests entered through an unassuming doorway before discovering a series of carefully choreographed moments. Thoughtful lighting, mirrored messaging and roaming ballerinas created intrigue before revealing an intimate dining room where every element felt intentional. Existing artworks were curated rather than replaced, fallen chandeliers became sculptural centrepieces, and an open kitchen placed the chefs at the heart of the experience. Sky High Trio provided an improvised soundtrack that complemented the atmosphere without ever demanding attention.

Great gala dinner event management is about creating moments guests remember long after the evening ends. For Clemence Harvey, every detail was designed to feel effortless, resulting in a one-night-only experience that perfectly reflected both the host and the remarkable space.
