Most agencies manage the logistics. We design the experience: the arrival moment, the flow of the room, the atmosphere that makes people stay longer than they planned. The last thing guests say walking out the door.

That philosophy has a name. We call it the art of hosting. It is the reason every client who works with us describes the planning process as a joy, not just the event itself.

The Founder

Zesty Events was founded by Damien Boecasse, a creative events director who spent a decade working across Melbourne, London, Paris, New York and Milan before building the agency he wished had existed.

Damien's background is deliberately cross-disciplinary: luxury PR, fashion, interior design, brand strategy. That breadth is not incidental. It is why Zesty approaches events the way a designer approaches a space, with an eye for proportion, atmosphere, detail and the emotional effect of every decision. Events that aren't just produced, but designed.

The founding belief was simple: the best events feel effortless to the guests and the host. Every element of complexity is absorbed behind the scenes, so the experience on the night is exactly what it should be. Easy, considered and impossible to recreate.

Over a decade in practice, Damien and the Zesty team have delivered 100+ events across all major Australian cities and internationally, from intimate donor dinners and property launches to large-scale brand activations and gala dinners for some of the world's most recognised names.

In 2025, Zesty Events was awarded Best Brand Event (Victoria), Australian Event Awards, for the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Cooking Competition and Gala Dinner.

Zesty Events is a Black and queer-owned business. Damien sits on the committee of Queers in Property, one of the industry networks behind the Property Unites Fundraiser that raised $275,000 for people experiencing homelessness in a single afternoon. We actively support emerging artists and creatives, bring sustainable thinking into our production process, and believe that the events industry is better when it reflects the full diversity of the communities it serves.
