One night to put DKO Brisbane on the map.
Brisbane is a hot property market with a story to tell. The emergence of the Fortitude Valley precinct has transformed it into one of the most exciting design and architecture environments in the country. DKO Architecture opened a Brisbane office at the beginning of the pandemic, and when the time finally came to mark that milestone officially, they wanted to do it properly.
The brief was to turn their office into an unexpected event, a space that said something about the firm and the city at the same time. Not a conventional cocktail party. Something immersive, conversation-starting, and genuinely memorable for clients and collaborators who had waited long enough.
Zesty produced an event built around the space itself. Projections on the building facade were visible from the street, announcing the moment before guests arrived. Inside, a custom-built DJ booth set the tone, and DJ Tanzer kept the room moving. A speakeasy stocked with local artisan gins was built into a meeting room: the kind of detail that makes a night feel designed rather than organised. F&B was curated to match. Everything was built around one idea: putting DKO Brisbane on the map.
